Introduction

This page describes the kind of contributions to Simone that can be done by people with very little or no technical knowledge.

Translations

Simone use a small dictionary for crucial interface translations. There are currently entries in dictionary that requires to be translated in order to add now language to Simone. Window buttons labels and native taskbar buttons are among elements that use dictionary.

If you think you can provide a translation for your native language or a language you're fluent with, download translation template, open it in your favourite editor and follow instructions inside. It will take you smoothly through the process and provide all the information, including context of what you are translating, and how to submit you work when you're done.

Proofreading

Simone documentation was not written by a native English speaker. Although it can generally be understood, there's for sure a lot of terrible grammar all over the place. If you can help out by providing you're expertise, please do so. Preferably you'll be a native English speaker.

You'll require a basic knowledge of Git to contribute. If you're unfamiliar with Git, that's a great opportunity to learn—code contributing documentation contain some resource on starting you're adventure with Git. The general rules for contributing code applies for proofreading contributions, excluding all the technical requirements. In short, you should be interested in following commits and pull request guidelines.
